I have a an exisiting sql express 2008 database running on the computer where I will install act.
Is it possible to create a new database under an existing sql express instance? If so, how? The installation guide ( http://kb.swiftpage.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/36104/kw/ ) doesn't say anything about it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I just found this: http://kb.swiftpage.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/13878/kw/13878
Is the only way to share a database between multiple computers is through the use of PAD files?
Can't act share a common sql server or sql express instance?

If SQL Express is already installed on the computer the ACT! install won't install it but the ACT! install will create the ACT! instance of the SQL server, that cant be avoided,

Hi Roy,
Thanks for the reply.
How about installing it to an existing SQL Server? (full, not express version)
