how to prevent database from being taken

I am looking for some advice.

We are on act 2010 with a few users, and I am worried about a user making a copy of the database/exporting it.

I know you can export to excel, I can not find a way to disable it. And how can you prevent a copy from being made.

Thanks for any help here.

Re: how to prevent database from being taken

You can disable export to excel fir tools, manage users for Standard users.  Admin and Managers always have it and restricted and browse users cannot have it given to them.

To lock it down further, you would need a citrix or terminal services environment.

can you give me more details. i go to manage users.

If i go to the individual, i then go to permissions. I don't see anything that would allow me to stop excel.

Could you give me where this is. His security role is standard.

It's not easy for people to just copy the database unless they have direct access to the physical machine hosting the database or are using sync
