Act Pro 2012
I'm going on 2nd day of a very frustrating experience. Hours and hours on hold - unhelpful emails - no support.
Can you help?
My computer died without warning, so no "backup" per se. Luckily hard drive is intact. I installed my hard drive into new Dell. It is now the F drive. All data is still there.
I reinstalled ACT Pro 2012, go into "open an existing database" Find the database on the F drive and click, but get this message. "the SQL database instance is unavailable"
Any ideas?
Thank you

Try starting using the ADF option. The pad file is pointing to the old computer and drive designation.

That one tells me I don't have permission to open the file - Thanks for trying to help me out.

Try starting ACT! by right clicking on the icon and selecting Run as Administrator. That should work. If it does I would do a backup of the databse in ACT! and then do a Restore As with a new name to your new hard drive.
