generating an activity report

I'm trying to generate an activity report which only shows 'to-do' activities.  When I run it I get a list of every contact in the database and not just the ones that have a 'to-do' set.  The ones that do have a 'to-do' scheduled do show all the details as well but I want to get rid of the other names.

Any ideas?

Are you using a standard report or one you have customized?

Re: generating an activity report

I've tried both.  I started off by building my own through a bit of guess work but when I hit this problem I thought I'd just run the standard Activities report and see if I had the same problem.  Turns out I do!

If you are running the standard activities report, the problem has to be with the way you are selecting the filter settings at run time because I can't duplicate what you are describing.

Re: generating an activity report

Selections are as follows:

General Tab

Send the report output to: PDF File

Create report for: Current Lookup

Use data managed by:  All users

Activity Tab

Activities: To-Do's (all other options deselected)

Date Range: Last Week

Use data managed by:  Selected users:  Myname

I know for a fact that there are 5 contacts with to-do's scheduled for last week in this look up, but all 270 contacts are showing up on the report.  I ran the report yesterday and it only came up with the 5 contacts so I can't find out what I'm doing differently.

On the Activities tab for the filters, be sure to uncheck 'Cleared Activities' near the bottom...
