I have four (Windows) desktop users sharing a PRO 2010 ACT! database on a Windows server. One desktop had an issue and the support desk at SWIFTPAGE sent us a PREMIUM download for re-installing the desktop. When the desktop was brought up as a PREMIUM ACT version, it immediately upgraded the database to operate as PREMIUM. We discovered at that time none of the other desktops running PRO could access the database. We tried to re- RESTORE the backup back as PRO, but now it requires us to restore AS (the second option of restoring) and that means that we cannot use the same database name.
We need help in getting restore to work for us and resharing the database to the users under another name..... OR.......perhaps it would just make sense to upgrade all the users to PREMIUM. Not sure which is the better approach. Any suggestions?

Is this an easy fix or something complicated. How is it that SWIFTPAGE would not be aware of this?

Hi Mark,
The downgrade procure is fairly straightforward, and is outlined in th following knowledgebase article:
http://kb.swiftpage.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/28079
If you have the entitlement to Act! Premium and the appropriate number of licences, and your PC's meet the minimum system requirements, installing Act! Premium would be more beneficial solution.

What would the cost be to upgrade 5 users from PRO 2010 to Premium 2010?
