change the Record Manager field of a group of contacts

How do I change the Record Manager field of a whole look up. I have 2371 contact selected in a lookup and need to change the Record Manager. I want to change it as a group not one by one.

Hello irios,

Welcome to the ACT! Online Community. Once you have you lookup selected, go to the main menu and select Edit/Replace Field. This allows you to change the value of a single field for multiple records. The important thing here is to make sure you have an active lookup as this function affects all the contacts in the current lookup.

 

Note: If you are using ACT! 2010 and do not see the Record Manager field available in the Edit/Replace dialog box, then you will need to apply the ACT! 2010 SP1 update to resolve this issue

I am using Sage ACT! Premium (Web) 2011 Version 13.1.111.0, Hot Fix 2

 

when I try do Edit/Replace Field, I am not able to find Record Manager, Please advise.

Look for the field 'Manager', instead of 'Record Manager'.

after installing Sage ACT! Premium 2011 Version 13.1.111.0, Hotfix 1, able to see 'Record Manager'

Greg,

 

I am having issues.  I did an active lookup for companies I would like to change the Record Manager on.  As per your direction, I went to Edit/Replace Field and selected "Record Manager" from the drop-box.  Unfortunately after selected the "Record Manager", the "Value" box grays out and does not allow me to enter in a different value.  Any suggestions?  Your assistance would greatly be appreciated.

Did anyone ever figure this out?  I stil don't have "record manger" in the drop down under "replace field".

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Have to update 1000's of contacts.

What version of Act! are you using?
Have you looked for the field "Manager"?
