When I create a history transaction, it is usaully as I am making a call. The duration is usually 1-5 minutes, but the dfault is 15 minutes. Does anyone know how I can change the default to 1 or 5 minutes without doing it on every transaction?

When using the 'New History' function on the History tab, there is no way to alter the default of 15 minutes for duration.
You can set the default duration for a new Activity (Call, Meeting, etc.) by using the Tools > Preferences > Calendar & Scheduling tab > Scheduling Preferences. Using this option, you would need to schedule an activity and clear it so that the program would then create your history item.
