cannot view attachment on history

cannot view attachment on history

hi! i have just cloned my old server to a new one.  The ACT is now up and running.  However, when I try to create a history with attachment, the history was successfully saved but there is not attachment icon that will link to the attached file in the history pane.  The attached file was also successfully attached and can be found in the attachment folder together with the other attached files. Is there any configurations I should check or is there a solution to this?

What version of ACT! - full build from Help | About?
If you open the History item, is the file listed in the Attachment field?

 

Do files attached before the move work?

It may be that you do not have the Record History option set up to include attachments.  Go through the email system setup screens and change the Record History options (screens 5 and 6) to 'E-mail Subject, Message and all Attachments'.  Here is an article with instructions: KB Article 26832

hi mike,

 

my version is ACT! by Sage Premium 2010 Version 12.1.181.0, Hot Fix 3

 

no item is listed in the attachment field which is what i am looking for.   althouhg the attachment itself can be found on the attachment directory.

 

Files attachment works before the move.

Have a look at: Tools > Preferences > Admin tab (use arrows to display).  Look at options for Attachments, are they enabled?  If not, enable them and test.
