cannot access data base.. changed internet providers to comcast we can see the files.. ADF when we clcik on it it times out it says cannot be accessed check database server and connection is available or disable firewall.... HELP

This sounds like a change in your network. Can you open the database on the server (host computer)?
If you can open it on the server but not the workstations, the network isn't translating the computer name correctly. Review the following article for instructions (section: "Problem on the Client Machine Resolving the Name of the Computer Hosting the Database" - the last item in list): KB Article 19640
