There are two ways to integrate ACT! with Outlook. You currently have Outlook set as the email program. To view the folders, you'll need to open Outlook. The other option is using ACT! email as the editor.
To change this setting, go to Tools -> Preferences -> Email -> Email System Setup. Go to step 4 of 7 and change the email editor there.

I have the same problem - but have already set ACT as my email editor and have "Use Word to edit..." turned off in Outlook. When I click the "view email" button in ACT, a window opens with a new blank email. If it helps any,I'm also experiencing my ACT buttons in the Outlook program periodically disappearing.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
