i have a small wireless network (two computers). i am currently unable to access my act database from the second machine. when i try to access my database i get an error message saying the drive or network connection is unavailable.
i've checked the network, and the computer is properly connected. also, the share database function is enabled and the uac is disabled.
in the past, when i would back up my database, this issue would arise. i would then turn everything off, unplug all the equipment, and within a day the connection would be restored. even that is not working now.
i have act version 10 and it's running on vista.
any help would be much appreciated.

Wireless connections can be odd... you might open the PAD file for the database in Notepad and changing the Host from the machine name to the IP address.
Failing that, what's the exact error?

thanks for the suggestion.
turns out the ip address somehow got changed, which confused the router and didn't allow me to access the database.
once the network adaptor got reset, the issue was resolved.
