i have some company fields linked to user fields
I want them to update the data automatically
when edits are made it does update but not without a pop asking if you want to update - this prompt needs to go away
but the real problem is when I edit this field in one of the contacts it does not link back to the COmpany field updating the data

Act! is functioning as designed. It is supposed to prompt you whether or not you want to update the linked fields for Contacts linked to that particular company when you update the Company information and save it. There is no way to get rid of this prompt. Additionally, if you're wanting to change the Company's field data, you cannot do this from a Contact and have the Contact update the Company's fields. It must be done from the Company screen, then the contact must be updated by the change to the Company rather than vice versa.

I know that is how ACT! functions and am seeking a work aroud solution.
it is standard practice that warning pop up commonly have a box to check indicating "do not display this message in the future"
Think about it. ACT! could be so much better if it was better supported.
