Working with a subgroup - database getting big

Hi all

The new act2010 integrates to swiftpage emailing which I would like to use.

Problem - I am afraid that if I put too many people on a mailing list it will slow down or simply overwhelm my day to day contact needs.
is there a way to, lets say, have 10,000 people as contacts list for email, but only "see" about 2500 or so for day to day use
I would also use this subgroup to sync with outlook and blackberry

(The previous idea of using two databases is gone, thanks)

Once again, thanks to all

Re: Working with a subgroup - database getting big

You can do this with a lookup or by creating a second user in the database (which would require an additional license), but this would not change the fact that there are 10,000 contacts in the database. You would need a second database to actually reduce the number of contacts.

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
