Need help, just purchase Act! 2007 and am unable to install it this is the error message that I'm getting;
An Act!7 instance of Microsoft Server 2005 has been detected. However we were unable to make a connection and verify the exsiting server 2005 installed is supported for Act! 2007 You can uninstall your existing SQL server 2005 or you can enter you "SA" password to try and reconnect.
Any assitance in how to resolve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Have you had a previous version of ACT! installed on this machine or is this a second attempt at installing?
I guess regardless of the answer yo give you need to clean up the system and retry. This error message is basically saying that there is an existing SQL instance of ACT! but ACT! is unable to connect.
Try cleaning up by using the ACT! uninstaller from this article: http://tinyurl.com/19338
making sure you tick 'Check to uninstall the ACT7 instance of Microsoft SQL Server'.
Reboot the machine, turn off Anti-virus, Firewall, USer Account Control (UAC) and Windows Defender and attempt a re-install.
