As I previously posted, I see the same error with Pro 2013 but the error appears harmless. I'm glad to see you are working on Windows 10 issues. Not long ago I got a mailing from sales saying a special upgrade price was available until mid-September. I really don't want to upgrade until you fix all of the Windows 10 issues and I doubt I'm alone at that. I hope you will rethink the end of the upgrade special and make it available after you have a Windows 10 compatible version.
I will provide an update as info gets passed down the pipeline and share your concern with the upgrade promo with our sales managers.
Thank you,

Hello ACT! Community,
I am having the same issue as a few others who have also posted to this thread. I can not open histories with attachments or view the documents tab on contacts, companies or groups with out the program crashing. I receive two event viewer errors, application error, & .net error. I reformatted my hard drive and did a clean install of Windows 10 OS, and then installed ACT v17 Pro after installing Office 2010 Professional. I checked and ACT! was working correctly. After a couple of reboots and installing other programs on the PC the problem returned! This is not OK! Please provide a solution/workaround ASAP. That does not involve reverting back to Windows 7 or 8. I have tried running in compatibility mode and as administrator & changing permissions etc. Nothing works....Thank you.

Frank,
I also run Act Pro 2013 and have not updated my laptop to Windows 10 because of fear of loosing Act. Is there anything that you had to do to get Act Pro 2013 to work under windows 10?

No, I didn't do anything special and the only issue I've noticed is a harmless error on exit but others have had problems with attachments. I don't use attachments so I don't know about that. There could be lots of other issues that I don't know about too. For example, I don't have email setup inside the program because long ago I found it easier to just cut and paste email address. Also I use the old Act Wordprocessor so Ihave no idea whether there are issues trying to interconnect with the version of Word I have installed.
In general though it has always been my advice to stick with the operating system that came from the factory. I didn't do this myself because the computer was very new and was already on 8.1. I didn't think 10 would be much more than 8.2 and so far I've had no issues other than with Act. Microsoft notwithstanding there is rarely anything to be gained for windows upgrades. Had my old computer not died, I'd still be happily using Vista.

Currently using Act 15.1.108.0 with Windows 10 on three systems, and the one consistent issue is that every time the program is opened, it requests an update to the Windows Phone Identification Form.
This could have to do with Explorer or not, but I'm putting it out there in case it may help someone.

As others have noted above, I too have been experiencing difficulties trying to open Word documents attached to contacts in my database. ACT crashes and closes down. This has been occuring with ACT 17, since installing Windows 10. I have installed all of the ACT updates and hotfixes. Is there any word yet as to when this will be fixed? Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I have Act Pro ver 16.0.291.0
installed windows 10 ver 10240
when I run Act I get a window that asks if act can access my hard drive.
then it asks me to enter my area code info.
after that no problem working with my database until I try to do a mail merge. When I do that the program acts like it is doing it but does nothing.
when i check my service running I note that SQL sever agent Act7 is stopped
when i try to start it, i get error 1067: process terminated unexpectedly.
