Will additional RAM make a noticeable change in speed?

I am curious about which will be more important to helping act 10 run faster.

I am currently using the trial version of Act 10 and have Act 6.0.  I have a laptop with 1.6 ghz processor (recommended 1.8 by Act) and have 512 mb of ram.  Obviously, Act 10 is running slow now.  I have ordered 2 gig of RAM which will arrive tomorrow.

I like what I have seen so far, but I am wondering if I need a new laptop or will the upgrade to RAM improve the speed of ACT.

Side note: I only use this computer for ACT and some browsing of the internet.  Not much else would be running at the same time.

Thoughts?

THanks

You'll also see a big change if you get a faster hard drive (7200 rpm or faster)

Older laptops had 4200 or 5400
