Re: When Restore remote database

The SQL service is required to be running in oder to access an ACT! database.  To check the SQL Service:

- Click the Windows Start button, and in the Search box type services.msc

- When the list of Local Services comes up, scroll down and find SQL Server (ACT7)

- If this service does not have "Started" as the status, then right-click on it and choose Start

If this service is not present in the list, then use the steps in the following Knowledgebase article to install it:

How to Manually Create the Microsoft® SQL Server™ 2005 (Express Edition) ACT7 Instance

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
