The dropdown was empty. What should I do?

Empty dropdown would suggest you working with a field that's NOT of date type. Double check that.

Following on from Thomas

Is it just your custom fields that do not have Today in them or if you try Edit Date or Last Meeting field do you still not have the Today option?

I made a custom date field call "next call" my orginal question was how do I save a lookup that would roll over to the current date so I wouldn't have to do a new lookup every day.

It's a date field... I checked. The calendar even pops up when I enter the field

The Advanced Query should allow you to save the lookup with "Today" on a date field - as well as "On or before" and quite a few other options.

Make this the criteria for a Dynamic Group to make it easily available for you

Re: What is the "Today" command???

I scrolled down the list of all the prior dates I've searched on and there is a TODAY way down at the bottom (versus all the today attempts I've typed previously... any way... that' bottom TODAY worked. Can I clear that drop down?
