What Is The Latest Upgrade For Premium 18

I have run act1820update6.exe and it installs.

When I check once again on the Act Notification under Help, the pop-up window says there is a new update available.

1. It says click here for description & download.  I've reported this in the past that the click here doesn't work.

2. What is the latest update?  I've gone to http://www.act.com/resources/downloads/ but the latest I see there is act1820update6.exe

Am I missing something?

Thank you for clarifying.

I wonder if this could be a Normal.dot/NormalEmail.dot or redemption.dll issue. Could you try the steps I have provided below.

Ensure Act and Office applications are closed

Navigate to:

C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates

Rename the '.dot' extension to '.old' for both Normal.dot and NormalEmail.dot

To redeem the redemption.dll again ensure Act and Office applications are closed.

navigate to one of the locations below:
64-bit OS
Act! Pro or Act! Premium: C:\Program Files (x86)\ACT\Act for Windows
Act! Premium (access via web): C:\Program Files (x86)\ACT\Act for Web

32-bit OS
Act! Pro or Act! Premium: C:\Program Files\ACT\Act for Windows
Act! Premium (access via web): C:\Program Files\ACT\Act for Web

Locate 'Redemption.dll'

Drag and Drop the file into 'regsvr32.exe' You will receive a message 'DllRegisterServer in C:\Program Files (x86)\ACT\Act for Web\Redemption.dll succeeded.'

Once these steps have been completed please open Act and Outlook then test.

Hi John

During a recent client visit 3 of the machines were acting just as you reported. When I investigated they were actually suggesting downloading ACT V19!

You also might try just trying to install HF 6 again just in case it did not take as I have also seen where the About Info Changes but the HF did not take. It will reject the update if it is installed so you will know one way or the other.

And lastly HF6 is the last update.

Re: What Is The Latest Upgrade For Premium 18

Good morning ch1p.

While I'm sure a lot of things were fixed with the update, the one I wanted to see fixed is the ability to click on the large E-mail button on the top row.  When I clicked on it, the "Object reference not set ..." error displayed.

I get around this by just clicking on the contact's eMail which will then interface with Outlook.

Interesting, this was the error before the update.

After the update, I clicked on the button and it asked me to set up eMail, which I did.  That was a good sign I thought.

Finished the eMail set up and the wonderful "Object reference not set ... " reappeared.

Since I have a work around, I'm putting this into the strategy bucket called "hope".  Although, this weekend I may take the time to uninstall Act and O365, reinstall both (O365 first) and then Act.

Hi John,

This issue is something ch1p and others have mentioned before, It is an odd issue as it does not effect all users on 18 but has been escalated previously.

Regarding the Email button issue, I would like to confirm your signature is correct as it mentioned Office 64Bit that is not compatible with Version 18.

I would expect different error messages if this is the case. I would have to recommend installing the 32Bit version of Office or upgrading to V19.

Since it is an auto signature, I haven't updated in a while.

The office product is O365 32bit.  64bit was removed years ago - in fact never on this system.

Would love to upgrade to V19, but it is not an option for me at this time.
