What Do You Use? Act EMail Program or Outlook EMail Program

Act 10

I'm wondering how most of you have set up your eMal program when interfacing with Outlook.

My environment is Exchange and Outlook 2003.

It seems that when I paste from Word into an eMail that has a table, bold, etc. it doesn't pass through in that format, but instead i plain text.

I do have HTML selected in Preferences | E-Mail | Composing Options.

I have also been trying to add a graphic to my signature block.

I've spent a lot of time reading on the forum and have not really found a clear discussion on this topic -- (it may have been a result of my search).

I'm looking forward to hearing any and all replies.

Thanks,

Only use Outlook. Don't worry about ACT! Email at all ... by far the best solution, especially with the new ACT! 2009, but even in the older versions. I stopped using the ACT! email client with ACT! 5.0 in 2000.

Thanks as always, Mike.

It appears that I can't have Outlook as the eMail program and access to internet based eMail as well.  Is that right?

Re: What Do You Use? Act EMail Program or Outlook EMail Program

Now I have a problem.

I changed preferences to use Outlook for eMail.

I went to Outlook and sent a reply, and the reply filed in the correct profile.  Good.

I then tried how to figure out to just file an eMail that was in the inbox and can't figure that one out.

So, I went to ACT and clicked on the eMail box and saw this message:

"Attempted to read or write protected memory.  This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt."  I really don't believe the memory is corrupt.

Any suggestions on what to read?  (Is there a knowledgebase article that I should look at?)  Maybe I haven't set this up correctly.

Many thanks in advance for your support.

If you connect directly to Outlook and bypass the ACT! email client then you are limited to Outlook.

Outlook can access most email systems...
