can anybody put me straight...
I have a remote database, created from act! 10.0.3.182 Hotfix 3, need to open it on my laptop. the laptop version is 10.0.1.199
I have downloaded and applied - (http://download.act.com/support/downloads/ACT-2008-Product-Downloads.html)
but it is still showing 10.0.1.199
I have read and followed the suggestion on the knowledgebase...
am I missing something????

are you referring to act2008hotfix1.exe, yes, I think this might be the problem, I don't think it is being applied. when I run the update it is coming up with a message dialog box
"you must have ACT! installed before you can apply this update"
of course act is installed, but I don't remember this message coming up before. (the user has full admin rights)
