VPN Connection problem

Hello,

 

I use ACT on my PC as well as a laptop for the field. When I am connected to LAN line, everything works well. However, when I use my laptop out in the field via VPN/wireless card, ACT responds very slow. Is there a way to fix that? Is there a way to use the ACT offline and have it sync at the end of the day?

The slowdown you are seeing when accessing your system data over the VPN is not an ACT! issue per se, it is a factor of how fast is your wireless connection - i.e. - 3G vs 4G etc.

 

Further, a VPN encrypts the data being transferred over the connection.  This has a SIGNIFICANT cost on the available bandwidth - and thus, performance.

 

Lastly, yes, ACT! does offer a syncrhonization feature.  Check out the knowledge base for info on how to set this up.
