V23 Opportunity Added Filter

In the upgrade from V22 to V23 ACT added a new filter to the detailed view of an opportunity.  The name of the filter is "Show For" and has three options:

 

The “Show For” is a new filter and has three items in the drop down:

  • All
    All history for all users

  • Opportunity
    All history only for what applies to this opportunity

  • Opportunity Contacts
    All history for all contacts assigned to the opportunity

The picture is for an opportunity that was created on 5/5/21.  Notice that the history includes dates 3 years before the opportunity was created. 

 

Unfortunately, when I upgraded to V23 the option of ALL was the default selected by ACT.  As a result ALL history in the ACT db was shown whether it had anything to do with the opportunity or not.

 

I under stand the option now that I noticed that it was added but question the wisdom of making the change.

 

I called ACT tech support and apparently they didn't know it had been added either.
