Using Numbers to identify contacts for ACT 2013

Hello,

I am trying to find a way for ACT! 2013 to give my contacts a chronological number that identifies each contact, and then continually gives each new contact entered a chronological number.

For example, I have 6,185 contacts. I want to number these contacts, and then all new contacts from that point forward will receive a number in chronological order.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

One possibility would be to upgrade to the latest version of the ACT! program which has field math capabilities. The other would be to invest in a third party math addin. check here http://www.exponenciel.com/index.aspx
