Using Faxadmin and the ACt Dialer does not work

Act pro 12 v 14.1 .108.0

WIndows 7

Faxadmin 2012

New computer with two modems

Modem 1 on com3 is intended for Faxadmin to send faxes on a dedicated phone line

Modem 2 on com 4 is intended for the ACT dialer to use as a voice line on a dedicated phone line

 

When I set up the dialer either in Act or in Windows 7, Faxadmin will not send faxes.

 

They just do not want to work together.

 

HELP!!!!

PS These are problems, not issues.

You might be best off speaking to the guys at ASDS (who make FaxAdmin) ... they might know the cause of this or how to set it up to work.

As a thought, do Microsoft fax work (without FaxAdmin) when the dialer is set up on the other line?

1. This is an ACT! support area, not a FaxAdmin ... which was the basis for the suggestion. I haven't run into this issue with FaxAdmin, but haven't used the versions in the past 3 years or so.

2. You didn't answer if MS Fax works ... that might have given a clue if the issue is related to FaxAdmin or your Windows setup

3. If you don't provide enough details (eg 2), any support answer will be a guess.

4. Please remember that most of the people providing support here (like myself) are unpaid volunteers ...

Since you've set up the dialer in both windows and with act have got the same results both times the best course of action would be to do as Mike has suggested and contact FaxAdmin support -- http://www.asdscomputer.com/support/
