Upgrading to 2011 from 2000

I am currently using ACT 2000 for membership information for a Military Association.  I want to upgrade to the latest or newest version.  What do I need to do?  I have over 10,000 records and cannot afford to lose any of them.  How do I go about it?  I have an email for the new version 2011 but need advice.

Your database can be upgraded without loosing any information. You can also run both versions concurrently on many machines.  Depending on the condition of your database, it may need seom prep work or prefessional help from a consultnat, but it all can be brought over.
