Upgrading from 2007 to 2011

Hi fellow users:

Just ordered Act 2011. Should be here today or tomorrow. A few questions:

Do I uninstall Act2007 before I install 2011? I know I will need to make copies of the databases first. Exactly what files/folders need to be copied? Does all that info come with my new version?

Can I install 2011 on 2 computers in my home with one license? My desktop and my laptop?

Can I sync data with my iphone 3GS?

Trying to talk a friend into Act 2011. Can he get a 30 day trial version?

Thanks, Paul

You don't need to uninstall, the ACT! 2011 installer should do that... but it can be useful to do it first... also remove the ACT7 SQL instance.

You just need to use the ACT! File | Backup, which creates a ZIP file

You, you can install on the laptop as well and set up sync

To sync to the iPhone, you should use Handheld Contact:

Yes, there is a 30-day trial available ... your own copy will work as a 30-day trial till you put in the key and it registers to the machine and yourself
