Upgrade Policy

Hi folks;

 

Could someone chime in if they know Sage's upgrade policy if I were to purchase ACT 2011 now?  Would there be a free upgrade to 2012 since its release is now so high on the horizon?

Hello mdlynam,

Welcome to the Sage ACT! Community. Currently, if you purchase 2011 there would not be a free upgrade to 2012, but you would get a reduced upgrade price (I do not know what that would be at this time). However, if purchase at least a Bronze support plan, that includes a free upgrade to the next release. Please see more on support plans here:

Just so that any Australian readers are informed, here in the Australian region if you purchase Sage ACT! 2011 (Pro/Prem/Web) you automatically get Software Assurance, which means that you will get the next version (2012) when it's released.

Then in the lead up to the release of 2013 you'll be contacted and asked if you'd like to renew your Software Assurance, which, if you do, then get's you the 2013 release.
