I installed ACT 2010. It ´s running and let me tell you that transition (installation) was far easier than previous versions.
I can open demo database. It is OK!
I can create new databases. It is OK!
I can even open some small databases I have create in ACT 2009 in the past....
I can edit layouts. Save with a new name. Select.
But the main database I use I can open and see only "task list". All other screens I can not open.
ACT says..ACT has encountered an error..Please shutdown the application.
I am convinced that the problem is with this database for which I have back up in version 2009.
I believe I will need service to repair and I understand costs may be involved.
What shall I do ?

I have also used Actdiag to check, repair, reindex, rebuild database schema all without success.
I suspect that, as in the past I tried and add-on to add new tables to this database, this table can not be handle when converting from 2009 to 2010.

When I first try to select any layout in dropdown there is none there. If I edit "current" (even if I can´t see it) and close edition without saving then I can select all layouts.
But even if I select stantard ones I can not see contacts detail or list view.
The only view I can see is "task list" but from there I can not navigate to any other view.
The error I get is "ACT has encountered and erros. Please shutdown the application".
