Is it dangerous to simply uninstall ACT v9 (via control panel) and then install ACT v11 or would it be better if I manually / cumbersomely remove ACT v9 and then install v11?
I am concerned about messing up the registry doing a manual remove. I've been to that movie before.

No need to the the registry remove... if you want to get rid of all ACT! keys, use the Uninstaller.exe from the ACT! KB 19338

From www.act.com - Support menu, Knowledge Base
Change the "Search By" to Answer ID and put the KB number in Search Text and click Find

The ACT! Uninstaller.exe is a brute force uninstaller and should only be used if you're having serious issues. A removal from add/remove programs should be fine with upgrading to ACT! 2009.

I need to uninstall'remove ACT 2009 from one computer and install it on another totally separate machine. When I try to uninstall through the control panel, all it will attempt to do is an upgrade of the product.
Can somewone point me in the right direction to accomplish my goal?
