Unable to view History and Notes

I just installed ACT 2009 a couple days ago. I've been an ACT user for 10+ years, so I know my way around the system well. After using the new license for 1 day, adding Notes and call History to 30+ records, I came back the second day to discover that I couldn't view the Notes or History that I created the previous day. I ran the Notes/History report, and everything is still in the database (somewhere), I just can't see them in the Notes or History tabs.

Check the filter settings on the Notes and History tabs.

Using Act Premium 2011 the filters that I see are date (all dates), show private, show preview - with these checked what else could be the problem?

I was able to correct this by changing the select user to all users.
