Unable to search notes

Hi,

The ACT database used to be stored on my computer. Since we've moved to it our server I'm unable to search for Notes.

This is creating a problem.

Can anyone make some suggestions? We're using Sage ACT! Premium 2012 Version 14.1.108.0

Thanks

Re: Unable to search notes

Can you provide more detail to the issue you are experiencing:
- Can you see the notes in the Contact Detail Notes tab?
- What steps are you using to search for Notes?

Re: Unable to search notes

Hi,

Thanks for trying to help me with this.

- Can you see the notes in the Contact Detail Notes tab?

I'm not sure what you're asking. Sorry.  I'm not proficient in all the ACT terminology. The notes are clearly visible when I'm in a record, if that's what you're asking.

- What steps are you using to search for Notes?

I go to Lookup / Advanced / Search on Keywords. I'll enter a word in the "Search For" box that I know has been entered into Notes many, many times. I make sure that the only field for "Look In" that's checked is Notes. Type is set to All.

No records come up when I hit Find Now.

This used to work for me but as I mentioned, it doesn't any longer and this comes in VERY handy sometimes.

I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what's wrong.

Thanks

Re: Unable to search notes

Moving the database to the server shouldn't have an effect on the search function, here are some things to try:
- enable all 'Look in' options and attempt the search - any found?
- test an overly obvious search - like the letter 'a' - is it found?
- verify the items you are looking for are in the Notes tab, could they be in the History tab?
- is anyone else having the same problem?
