Unable to register

I just purchased a new version of Act 8000, upgraded my 3.0 database and imported it, and now it won't let me register. When I start up Act, it prompts me to register, but then tells me that I can't register unless I am an administrator. I checked, and I am an administrator in Windows, and in the Act database. What can I do?

I got the same thing. Seems to be a known issue. On the support site, there's an article about it. Something about in the properties selecting the WIN XP Service Pack. I did the steps and it worked.

You will get this error if you are running on Vista. Even if you are logged in as an Admin.

To resolve this, right click on the ACT shortcut and select to 'Run as Administrator' This will allow you to successfully register.
