Re: Unable to open ACT! 2011 database

I tried deleting the PAD file and opening with the ADF file but I got an error message that the database was in use.

Re: Unable to open ACT! 2011 database

Try detaching the database from SQL using the ActDiag utility and then open using the ADF.

- Windows Start > Run (or Search field) > actdiag

- Select Databases > Database List > highlight database

- Right click on database > select Detach Database

Re: Unable to open ACT! 2011 database

Thanks for your posts; I tried this b/c it sounded like something I could actually do with my limited tech knowledge; I didn't get very far because it says it can't connect to the SQL server.  Help? Smiley Wink
