Unable to Install Act 2010 On Windows 7

Hi,

 

   I have a brand new laptop with windows 7 64,  no antivirus and trying to install Act 2010 on it,

installation starts  then nothing happen ,    also tried by right click on setup and run as administrator 

same thing , no error  and also no msg and no next screen to installation process  , and word of advise .

I'd start by making sure you've check that you meet the requirements in this ACT! Knowledge Base article -

If that doesn't work, try installing in Selective Startup mode:

If still fails, check the Windows Event logs and MSI logs as per:

I would go and rename the Prereq folder in the installation folders to old and then try again. I have found at times this solves the non start issue
