Unable to Connect to Database

Hi. I have been using ACT! for over a year but it will not work on a new computer i have just setup. Im getting the following error message:

A sucessful connection was made to the [servername] computer but the Sage ACT! database [databasename] was not found. The database may have been moved or deleted. Searching for and opening the file "databasename.adf" on the [servername] computer may resolve the issue.

 

I try and open the .adf file like it says but i get another message saying "This file is in use. Enter a new name or close the file thats open in another program"

 

ACT! works on all of the other computers in the office, its just this new one that it does not work on.

 

How do i fix this?
