USER NAME & PASSWORD

Act! 2010 is suddenly asking for a user name and password to open my data base.  I have closed and opened the program many times without such a request.  I cannot remember even providing a user or password upon set up.  Is there a work around here?

Did you by chance add a user to your database? You user name is typically your name. Try that and leave the password blank.

That did not work.  This problem started after I loaded sync software from Blackberry and Companionlink.  I have uninstalled both of those programs.

Hello GTO61,
Try variations of your name (i.e John Smith, John, jsmith,etc). Try leaving the password blank, or if you think you may have created a password, you can try typical passwords you have used for other applications and websites.
