Trouble printing Act 2012 envelopes

We have migrated three systems to Act 2012.  Two are new installations of Act 2012 and the third is an upgrade from Act 2008.  When we go to print #10 envelopes on the two newly installed systems, the page layout for the envelope defaults to 8 1/2 by 11, not the #10 standard (9 x 4).  We haven't been able to determine a way to correct this.  If the page layout is changed to #10/4 by 9, the format comes out with the name and address at the top (end) of the envelope and wrong by 90 degrees. If we don't change the page layout at all, the 8 1/2 by 11 layout ends up with a very compressed (1 or 2 point) font, fitting it on a 9 by 4 envelope.

Used to work fine with Act 2008 with all three previous systems (we replaced two of the three older systems, hence the installation of two and upgrade of one). The one system that was upgraded from Act 2008 to Act 2012 works fine.  Didn't have to make any changes at all.

In the Edit Template/Design, the layout looks correct on all three systems. Appears to be an issue with a printer setting or page layout.

Steps used: Do Look Up. Select File, Print. Select Envelopes. Choose "10" Paper Type, Click Print (either Print or Preview). Select Current Contact. When printed, or the print/preview comes up, the paper type/page layout is 8 1/2 by 11, not 9 x 4.

All three systems use the same Dell 2330dn printer as the default printer (over the network). Using Manual Feed tray to feed envelopes, Looking for ideas on how to fix the issue to print #10 envelopes. Thanks!

Re: Trouble printing Act 2012 envelopes

I would suspect the printer or the printer driver. If the printer driver does not have a paper size available for the #10 envelope, the ACT! report template will switch to letter. When the template defaults to letter size, it should print correctly if the envelope feed is flap up and toward the center from the right side of the feed tray.

After you select Envelope, its paper type, hit print, to printer, current contact. You should get a Print Dialog box and right of the Name: printer Dell 23330dn there should be Properties button you need to specify the Paper Source (MP tray), media/paper type: Envelopes, Paper size: try (Com-10) or  Envelope#10, Orientation: Landscape.

Just suggestions since you did not write out that you were doing them.
