I am a new ACT! user, and am still trying to set up my database. I imported my companies first, then imported my contacts. I had no troubles importing the ID/Status into the companies, but for some reason my ID/Status will not import into my contacts. I've tried 3 times, have checked the mapping, and everything seems to be fine - everything imports except this field.
Has anyone else had this problem, or know how to fix it?

Here are a couple of things to check for your import into ID/Status:
- go to Tools > Define Fields > ID/Status field: is it set to 'Limit to List'? Are your values included in the Drop Down?
- manually create a new import file and fill in one row and test importing it. This can tell you if there is something the import doesn't like about in the original file.
Note: 'Limit to List' will be on the second screen, after double clicking on the ID/Status field name.
