First time here.
I'm currently working with ACT! 6.0 and trying to convince my employers to upgrade to ACT! 10.0 or better.
Our Order Taking platform is Sage Pro ERP ver. 7.4 and encompasses our entire account database.
I haven't been able to find a way to transfer the database over to ACT!. Is it even possible?!
I'm having to transpose the database over to an EXCEL spreadsheet and save it as an .csv file in order to get it to transfer over into ACT!. We currently have over 4000 accounts. I'm only concentrating on a section of 400 or so.

Also, we have more of a POS oriented sales platform; but from my research into ACT!, I get the feeling it is a program built for long-range sales opportunities, rather than short-range. Am I misundertanding this?
And, last thing, maybe someone can enlighten me on a couple of things.
I'd like to be able to mass-fax and mass-email.
