Transfering my Personal Files(Tool Bar Custom Commands & Column View) settings

When I restore my database to other pc's, the Menu / Tool Bar Custom Commands  and  Column views do not get restored.

I want my menu/tool bar Custom Command settings  and  my column view settings also copied to the other pc.

So how do I do this.

It appears I do a

File/Backup/ Personal files/   then do I select just Menus and Tool Bars ?  or do I need to select additional items(such as dictionaries) to be backed up?

Then I suspect I do a Restore / Personal files option on the other pc of course?

Are there any other potential conflict issues I need to be concerned about in doing this?

Never done this before and want to get it right. Can someone please confirm this procedure? Thank you - FSB

Re: Transfering my Personal Files(Tool Bar Custom Commands & Column View) settings

Your custom commands and toolbars are actually stored as part of your ACT! preferences. If you would like to have the customization you set up transferred over to another machine, then copy over the following directory:

Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\(your username)\Application Data\ACT\Act for Windows(version#)

Windows Vista  - C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\ACT\Act for Windows(version#)

* where "version#" is your current version of ACT! (9,10,11, etc)
