Transfering data

I have ACT!2000 on my desktop computer, and just loaded ACT!2006 on my laptop. But all my data files are on ACT!2000. Any ideas on the best way to get that data from my desktop to my laptop?
thanks...

Re: Transfering data

Since it doesn't take that long to install 2006, why not load 2006 to the desktop, convert all, then move the data to the laptop via zip files.  The other way would be to backup the database and then move it by itself to the laptop.

An easy way is to get one of those 1 flash devices, and copy your ACT! database folder on to it.  Then copy it to your desktop.  You can upgrade your 2000 database in to 2006 by selecting File, Open, then selecting the *.DBF files.
