Transfering data from one PC to another with different ACT versions

I'm trying to transfer around 400 contacts from a PC with ACT version 9.0 to another PC with ACT version 10.0.  When I try to open the new database I created it says that it could not find database ... on host ... I tried to delete the PAD file and open only the ADF file and that did not work.  Could really use some help.

Try backing up the database on the ACT! 9.0 machine and then restoring the backup on the ACT! 10.0 machine. When restoring, use the "Restore As" option.

Greig,  My RESTORE AS does not seem to work.  I am using 2010 and trying to transfer to a new PC.  When I try to use i, it ask me to name a file or browse for it, it won't OPEN the zip file or allow me to type anything into the FILENAME field.
