To note or not to note...

We have about 2000 contacts.  We created a group of about 100 of those contacts to receive our company’s eblast.  We then want to create a “note” for that eblast for each contact.  We can’t figure out how to link one note with a group or multiple contact without creating a note for each contact.  After reading some of the posts, maybe there is a better way to do this other than using the notes field?  Any tips would be appreciated.

When you create your note click on the "Contact.." button on the top right of the Notes window, then Select From > Groups and pick your mailing group, then use the >> arrows to add the list to the right hand window. The note will then appear in all contacts in that group.

Also be aware that when you use the mailmerge feature you can record an ACT! History record automatically of that send in each of the recipients' records.

Re: To note or not to note...

HI All

On entering a note and attempting to rempve a Share With, the program locks up and requires a complete restart. This option worked on Act 2009 but not for me on 2010.

A would appreciate any suggestions.
