Time Zones

How can I enter start and end times for a meeting in different time zones. For example when entering the departure and arrival times of flights that cross time zones or booking a meeting at a location that is in a different time zone. Is there some way to make Act! display the time zone?

Re: Time Zones

The time zones in ACT are pulled from the time zones of the computer. So if you travel, and set your computer timezone when you land, aCT will respect these changes.  Inside ACT, there are no timezone setting for activities beyone that.

Re: Time Zones

You might post a request for this feature to be considered for a future version here -
http://community.act.com/t5/SHARE-YOUR-IDEAS/idb-p/ideas

Input from this web page goes directly into a database that management has direct access to read, and which they also track and gather statistics on. It also allows other users to vote on these so Sage can get an idea of the demand

This article might help word the request to make it easier for management to look at it:

Re: Time Zones

Would LOVE this... but... many people have requested this since 2012 as far as I can tell... How long before ACT decides 'time' is important. It's frustrating for those of us that travel. Seems like this wouldn't even be that hard to do. I may be getting toward the end of ACT. I'm tired of software that doesn't work and when I create a support ticket they claim the way to fix their software that doesn't work is to upgrade. It's expensive to upgrade all of the time when you have a bunch of people who have ACT. And, when I upgrade there will be a new problem to fix that they will tell me that the way to fix it is to upgrade. Grrrr.
