The Database ... could not be accessed. In order to access this database, check your network connection and verify that your database server is available. It may be necessary to disable any firewall sofwate on your computer or on the server.
SQL Server (Act 17) status is "started" Please help!!

If the database is not physically located on this machine, check the SQL service on the host machine.
If the databas is local to your machine and it was working before, try rebooting the computer and test. If that does not resolve the issue, try rebuilding the PAD file. To do this:
- close ACT! (if open)
- browse to the location of the database files
- rename the "'databasename'.PAD" file to "'databasename.PAD.OLD"
- double click on the ADF file to open the database
This will create a new PAD file.
