I have ACT! 10.0 and am reluctant to sync w/ my new Motorola Q phone based on my lack of knowledge and my concern that it may delete info from my existing ACT! appointements.
Any suggestions or warnings before I proceed?

It shouldn't delete your ACT! activities. The initial sync will require a desktop overwrites handheld. Which means it will be a one way sync. Then going forward it will be two-way synchronization for only new entries added on both sides.
Motorola Q isn't supported with the link software we provide, which is documented here. Its an ACT! 2007 article, but it still applies to 2008. You'll have to purchase an additional addon product to sync with device to ACT!. The two more popular addons I've seen are CompanionLink and Handheld Contact.

I have ACT 2009 11.0 and have just purchased a Motorola Q it does sync but are you saying it doesn't sync as completly as it would with one of the ad on softwares?
If so what type of differences would I see with one of the ad on softwares?
