Sychronizing Act! 2005

I have just installed Act!2005 on a laptop that I would like to synchronize to my Palm Treo.  I have been syncing just fine to my desktop up to this point.  I have updated Act to version 7.0.4.82, their last version and same version that is on desktop.  However, when trying to sync with laptop, I get the error message: "Unable to connect to ACT! database.  Unspecified Error.  Make sure you can open you database in ACT! and use ACT! Link for Palm Settings to re-select you database."  I know this has to be something simple that I am not doing, but I can't find it.  Please help.

Palm Treo with Palm OS or Windows Mobile OS?

 

What version of the OS?

 

If Palm, what version of Hotsync Manager?

I have 6.0.1 Hot Sync Manager and Palm Treo 650 with Palm OS 1.12-spnt.  This is the same set up I have used for a couple of years on my Desktop.

Hotsync 6.01 was not supported by ACT! Link for Palm for ACT! 7.0 as per this ACT! Knowledge Base article - http://tinyurl.com/3e7tbx
