First note that I'm not an ACT "power-user" by any means.
Anyway, some clients of mine have asked me to create some labels within Act that adhere to the following format:
Last name, First Name (eg: Smith, Bob)
The contact field contains this information but it's in a standard "first last" format. The salutation field only contains the first name.
Is there any way to (temporarily?) swap the first and last name of the contact field for the purposes of printing labels?
Any / all help greatly appreciated.

What you would need to do is use the first name and last name fields. You would likely want to hide the fields and use a custom field and an expression to concatinate the the names.
There is a third party book with comprehensive training information on the ACT! reports, here is the link.

Excellent! I didn't even realize there was a first and last name fields.
Next question: how do I trim off the trailing spaces from either field? Or, to put it another way: how to concatenate each field?
