Using Act! 2010 Standard
Have a user who also synchronizes. All was fine yesterday but today he cannot log into his local database nor the server database. He gets the "Cannot find database supplemental files folders." error message on both databases. He is logged into the notebook with admin rights & has admin rights on the network. Other users can access the server database OK.
Have tried various things including going through the knowledgebase article & trying those suggestions.
-Replaced the pad file
-Checked for duplicate shares
-Server database is shared as others can login OK
-Put in the IP address for the host name in the pad file
-Share permissions set to full control
-Stopping & restarting the Act7 SQL Server service for the local machine
On the local database we have renamed the pad file & tried to open the adf file in Act but it comes up with "This file is already in use" error message but cannot see where it is already in use
This user is using Vista Home Edition SP2. Anything else I can try? Thanks

On the computer that is sharing the database
Start > Run > actdiag > OK
OK on the Disclaimer
Wait for next screen. It can be slow.
In the ACT! Diagnostic screen in the upper left, click on Databases.
In the fly out menu, click on Database List.
Find your database in the list. Right click on that line item.
On the menu that comes up, Hover over Database Fixes to get the fly out menu.
Click on Datastore location. (Datastore/Supplemental Files. The two terms are for the same one thing.)
Use IP to find the Datastore
